Jasmin Paris
British ultra-runner and veterinary scientist based in Scotland, Jasmin Paris made history in March 2024 by becoming the first woman ever to finish the Barkley Marathons, crossing the line in 59:58:21 with just 99 seconds to spare. A senior lecturer at the University of Edinburgh's Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, she is also the 2019 Spine Race overall winner with a then-course record of 83:12:23 - beating the existing men's mark by over 12 hours - and holds women's records on Britain's three classic fell rounds (Bob Graham, Ramsay, and Paddy Buckley).
