Mathieu Blanchard
French-Canadian ultra-trail runner who obtained Canadian nationality in 2023. Born in Cavaillon, France, Blanchard grew up in Guadeloupe before moving to Montreal in 2014 where he worked as an engineer. After gaining recognition on reality TV show Koh-Lanta in 2020, he turned professional in 2021. Known for his resilience and tactical racing, he achieved a breakthrough sub-20 hour UTMB finish (2nd place) in 2022, won the prestigious Grand Raid de la Réunion in 2024, and placed 2nd at Hardrock 100 in 2025. He moved back to France (Les Deux Alpes) in 2023 and is in a relationship with fellow elite runner Alix Noblat.
