A UTMB World Series Major set in the Val d'Aran, the Occitan-speaking valley of the Catalan Pyrenees. First held in 2021, the event celebrates Aranese culture with race names in the local language and courses that thread wild valleys, abandoned mines and the great glacial lake cirques around Aigüestortes — including Colomèrs, the largest cirque of lakes in the Pyrenees. The flagship VDA is a 163km tour of the entire valley with 10,000m of climbing.
