Widely regarded as one of the world's best ultra trail runners, Courtney Dauwalter made history in 2023 by becoming the first person to win Western States 100, Hardrock 100, and UTMB in the same year. Born in Hopkins, Minnesota, she was a four-time state champion in Nordic skiing before attending the University of Denver on a cross-country skiing scholarship. After teaching biology, chemistry, and physical sciences for several years following her mother's footsteps, she turned professional in 2017 and has since dominated the ultra-distance scene with her incredible endurance, positive attitude, and signature baggy 'Shortney' shorts.
