A five-time World Orienteering Champion before transitioning to trail running in 2019, Wyder won the inaugural Golden Trail World Series that year and remains one of the world's premier short-distance mountain runners on technical alpine terrain. After overcoming a 2019 stroke, she returned to the top of the sport with podiums at the World Trail Championships, OCC, Zegama-Aizkorri, and across the Golden Trail and UTMB World Series circuits.
